About Our Pastors
Dr. Gene and Sue Lingerfelt serve as the founders and pastors of Overcoming Faith Christian Center (formerly Cathedral of Praise) in Arlington, Texas, a non-denominational, full-Gospel, Word and Faith church. Pastors Gene and Sue Lingerfelt are now seen weekly nationwide and worldwide on the Overcoming Faith Television broadcast, which can also be viewed online at any time.

At the age of seventeen, Dr. Gene Lingerfelt answered God's call to go into full-time ministry. Pastors Gene and Sue Lingerfelt were married in 1976, and each went on to earn degrees from Texas Christian University. Dr. Lingerfelt later earned his doctorate from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Their ministry journey has since taken them around the world into over 40 nations during the course of over 32 years of ministry and marriage, as they have shared the good news of the Gospel with hurting people.

About Overcoming Faith Christian Center
Dr. Gene and Sue Lingerfelt pioneered Overcoming Faith Christian Center (formerly Cathedral of Praise) in Arlington, Texas on January 1, 1984. Since then, the church has celebrated twenty-four years of ministry, as it has spread the good news of the Gospel, both in the local Dallas-Ft. Worth community and around the world. Our God-given purpose and mission is to change the lives of people with the Gospel of Christ, thereby helping them to discover success in life; our heart and vision includes both the community and the world; our values are based on God's Word; and our central goal is to continually fulfill God's plan and vision by reaching a hurting world with the Gospel, as we stretch out beyond the four walls of the church, fulfilling Christ's commission to make disciples of all nations, that is, covenant men and women of God (Matthew 28:18-20).

Overcoming Faith Christian Center is a non-denominational, full-Gospel church that believes in making a difference in the world today through the good news of the Gospel and the power of the Lord Jesus Christ. As Hebrews 13:8 says, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." Over the course of twenty-four years, Overcoming Faith Christian Center has grown to more than 2,000 members, from over 40 nations, and the far-reaching scope of the ministry has seen Dr. Gene and Sue Lingerfelt pioneer 65 churches in Latin America and Africa, as well as in the United States. Since 1984, Pastors Gene and Sue Lingerfelt and their covenant faith partners have led more than 245,000 people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, and have given away more than $8.9 million into God's harvest fields, which is more than 22% of our donated income.

Recently, Overcoming Faith Christian Center moved into the first phase of its new facilities, located on a beautiful 83 acres at Highway 287 and Eden Road in Arlington, Texas. Phase one of our expansion includes more than 72,000 square feet, tripling the size of our previous location. Eventually, when Phases Two and Three are complete, we plan to have a world-class facility that will be about 450,000 square feet.

About Overcoming Faith Television
In 1994, Dr. Gene and Sue Lingerfelt responded to the call of God and pioneered Overcoming Faith Television. The first broadcast was aired on August 7, 1994 on Dr. Gene and Sue Lingerfelt's 18th wedding anniversary. Today, Overcoming Faith Television can be seen both nationwide and worldwide. The purpose and intent of Overcoming Faith Television is not only to teach believers how to apply God's Word to every area of their lives, but to also reach a lost and hurting world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And, now you can also watch our broadcast through the Internet every week. Because of this new medium, our partners are able to watch our broadcast no matter where they are in the world, so long as they have an Internet connection.

About St. Paul's Preparatory Academy
Dr. Gene and Sue Lingerfelt founded St. Paul's Preparatory Academy (formerly Cathedral Christian Academy) in 1988 as a ministry of the church to provide a college preparatory, Christian education for the church's children, in addition to families living within the local community.
